vessel christened 'floating campus' carrying 500 students docked at the Port of Mombasa on Sunday, November 27, 2022. Cruise Liner World Odyssey docked at the Kenyan port on its maiden voyage to the country. The vessel is among six ships known as Semester at Sea operates the World’s floating campus where students take their studies aboard a ship. A classroom inside MV World Odyssey SEMESTER AT SEA MV World Odyssey had 800 passengers of which 500 are students drawn from  various parts of the world. The students will be learning about Kenya’s history as part of their semester studies. The ship will dock at Mombasa Port for five days and apart from learning, the students will visit tourist  sites like Fort Jesus , Haller Park and Tsavo National Park. Man suspected of killing girlfriend in Lang'ata arrested at Malaba border

  Thomas Mbugua Muthee was nabbed by detectives at Malaba border as he tried to sneak out of the country to the neighbouring Uganda. The suspect who has been on the run since committing the heinous act on Saturday last week is currently being detained at Malaba Police Station. He will be transferred to Nairobi on Saturday.
